Gale Brophy: City Sophistication, Country Spirit, and Champion of Charitable causes

Fresh from another dazzling Palm Beach season of high-profile charity events, Gale Brophy spent the summer between the Hamptons and her beloved Catskill retreats, Estates by Brophy .Known for her warmth, sophistication, and tireless energy, Gale has long balanced a remarkable professional career with a life dedicated to helping others.

Her Wall Street success as a bond company co-owner and trader was followed by an equestrian legacy: co-ownership of “Strike the Gold,” the 1991 Kentucky Derby winner, along with international polo and thoroughbred racing investments. 

Yet it is philanthropy that defines much of Gale’s life. From New York to South Florida, she has chaired and supported countless charitable causes—including 2025’s “Feeding the Hungry Casino Night Fundraiser,” which surpassed goals and now delivers meals to more than 1,000 Palm Beach families each week.  Under her lead, event revenues far exceeded projected fundraising goals. This enabled the nonprofit to purchase a large, refrigerated truck, significantly speeding up food loading and deliveries which now reach out to 1,000 families in need across Palm Beach County, Florida. She will return in 2026 as Honorary Chair. Gale will also be involved in “Casino Night 2026” which will be held at The Wanderers Club in Wellington, when she will serve as the event's Honorary Chair.
